Carolyn Slagell Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carolyn Slagell of Saint Johns, Michigan, who passed away on April 6, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Hankey and Gladys Hankey (Weaver); her husband Harold Raymond Slagell; and her brothers, Rolland and Raymond Hankey.
She is survived by: her children, Larry Slagell (Sara) of Grand Rapids, Susan Slagell of Sacramento, Mark Slagell (Amy) of Ames and Amy Schrock (Richard) of Foosland, Illinois; her grandchildren, Samuel Slagell, Lucas Slagell (Clara), Carter Slagell (Elisa), Kenneth Slagell, Eli Schrock (Maria) and Aaron Schrock (Elizabeth); and her great grandchildren, Averi and Lucia. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McGeehan Funeral Homes - Keck-Coleman Chapel (1500 Waterford Pkwy, St Johns, MI 48879). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the McGeehan Funeral Home, Keck-Coleman Chapel (1500 Waterford Pkwy, St Johns, MI 48879).
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Meals on Wheels.
