She was predeceased by : her parents, DeForest G. Tate and Elaine Tate (Boyer); and her brother Jon Tate. She is survived by : her close friend Dale Rhynard; her daughters, Angie (Josh Goodknecht), Rhiesha (Troy Easton) and Katy Jennings; her stepdaughter Jennifer Mayann Resseguie; her grandchildren, Joey, Allie, Carter, Porter, Alianna, Korryn, Aiden, Haelee, Summer and Lily; and her great grandchildren, Everette and Jaxson.

Memorials in De's honor may be made to the Cardboard Prophets, a street based homeless outreach program in Lansing.
