With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Duane C. Haviland of Saint Johns, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Haviland and Yvonne Haviland (Hickerson); his siblings, Kathi Overley and Dave Haviland; and his brothers-in-law, Roger Hicks and Scott Salters.
He is survived by: his wife Cheryl; his children, Doug Haviland (Renae), Rebekah Gilroy (Ryan), Joel Haviland (Esther) and Rachel Haviland; his grandchildren, Dillan Haviland (Alyssa Dorn), Miah Rushin (Bennett), Josiah, Clara, Benjamin, Grace Gilroy, Bridger, Boden Haviland, Jazmine, Tori and Joseph Harps; his siblings, Dan Haviland (Deb), Chris Salters and Sarah Strader (Jim); and his in-laws, Brenda Griggs (Kevin), Clair Overely and Peg Haviland. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 16th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday, May 17th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of St. Johns (512 S Whittemore St, St Johns, MI 48879).
