He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Barks and Elsa Barks; his granddaughter Mindy Spilling; and his sister Edna Harrison. He is survived by: his wife Mary Wendt; his sons, Earl "Tuff" Barks (Kathy), Eric Barks (Margaret) and Erron "Yogi" Barks (Marie); his grandchildren, Amber Denovich (Jason), Jason Barks (Sarah), Alissa Hall (Erik), RaeAnn Olger (Lucus), Nick "Zippy" Barks and Debbie DeFrenn; and his great grandchildren, Owen, Axel, Thea Denovich, Declan Hall and Daisy Jane.
