She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Bruursema and Myrtle Bruursema (Haas); her husband Doug; her son Chris Cook; her grandson Dane Ruff; her siblings, Dick and Judy; her parents-in-law, Wayne and Beatrice Cook (Stuart); and her siblings-in-law, Norman Cook and Jane Squires.

She is survived by: her daughters, Debora Goward (Allan) of Ovid, Jill Bancroft (Troy) of St. Johns and Lisa Ruff (Donald) of Frankfort; her daughter-in-law Elaine Cook; her grandchildren, Christopher Cook, Carrie Ott (Stan), Carla Reser (Ben), Calvin Cook (Lisa), Nick Bancroft (Andrea), N. Albert Bancroft, Gerrit Bancroft (Molly), Tyce Ruff and Dirk Ruff (Anna); her great grandchildren, Chris, Victoria, Gus, Paul, David, Levi, Ruby, Eleanor, Henry, Finlay, Nixon, Briggs and Fitz; her sister Susan Frank (Mike); and her sisters-in-law, Diane Hazel (Charles) and Ellen Cook. She is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.

Memorials may be made in her name to Compassus Hospice or to the Lowe Methodist Church.
