She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Pitchford and Lois Pitchford (King); her spouse A. J. Gale "Bud" Peplau; and her brother Lee Pitchford. She is survived by: her children, Joan Schneider (Butch), Marie Wood (Kenneth), Sue Gray (Bob), Dennis Kowalski (Chrissy) and Cindy Edwards; her grandchildren, Patrick Zimmerman (Josie), Brent Smith (Cindy), Eric Wood (Amie), Cristina Tamlin (James), Sara Koenigsknecht (Rich), Michael Wood (Mary) and Mike Schneider (Shaine Cartwright); her great grandchildren, Johnny, Justin, Nolan, Ella, Jenny, Sami, Andrew, Matthew, Jefferson, Jacob and Mark; her great great grandchildren, Emerson and Trevor; and her siblings, Ellen Bodo, Grace Alberts, Arlene Witherbee, David Pitchford (Bert) and Carol Clifford.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Family Funeral Homes (104 E Cass St, St Johns, MI 48879). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, July 23rd 2025 at the Eureka Cemetery (2252 E Hyde Rd, St Johns, MI 48879).
