She was predeceased by: her parents, Durward L. Brand and Beatrice Brand (Getts); and her husband Edward Ernst Jr.. She is survived by: her children, Glenn Ernst (Karen), Linda Chaney (Russ) and Lisa Maidlow (Jeff); her grandchildren, Dawn Nelson (Dan), Brian Chaney (Rebecca), Matthew Maidlow, Justin Maidlow (Abby), Nathan Maidlow, Laura Zelenka (Matt) and Sarah Oddan (Pat); her great grandchildren, Julia Nelson, Lillian Chaney and Elora Chaney; and her sister-in-law Janet Chick.
Memorial contributions may be made in her name to Order of the Eastern Star (Okemos Chapter) or to Heart to Heart Hospice.
