She was predeceased by: her father Theodore "Ted" Kilanowski. She is survived by: her mother Janet Kilanowski (Gyssels); her husband Jim Alspaugh; her children, Emmit Kilanowski, Joel Alspaugh and Alyssa Alspaugh; her sisters, Danielle Redd (Ian), Melanie Kilanowski-Doroh (Philip) and Dawn Kilanowski (Stephen); and her siblings-in-law, Randy Alspaugh (Joanna), Tina Shook (Bill) and Karen. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the McGeehan Funeral Home, Keck-Coleman Chapel (1500 Waterford Pkwy, St Johns, MI 48879). A reception was held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the St Johns High School (501 W Sickles St, St Johns, MI 48879).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a fund to honor Joy's love and devotion to providing a brighter future for her children.
