He was predeceased by: his parents, Enos "Bart" Helmer and Almeda E. Helmer (Smith); and his brother Keith "Hector" Helmer. He is survived by: his wife Chris; his children, Vicki Theis (Steve Hawker) and Doug Helmer; his grandchildren, Ricki Theis (Jessica) and Christopher Theis (Darby); his great grandchildren, Grayson, Oliver, Harper and Nora; his siblings, Joyce Mayer, Dan Helmer (Ginny), Ed Helmer and Barb Helmer; and his sister-in-law Cheryl Hicks (Bob). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
