He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar VanElls and Eleanor VanElls (Fernholz); and his siblings, Rita Thelen, Ruth Hufnagel, Arlene Walling, Alice Gallagher, Josephine Rogers, Dale Patrick VanElls, William VanElls, Lawrence Thomas VanElls and Richard VanElls.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy VanElls; his children, Kristy Conz (Steve) and Steve VanElls (Cindi); his grandchildren, Alex, Hunter, Luke Conz, Emily VanElls and Autumn Mirkle; and his siblings, Donna Mae Kuripla, James VanElls, Helen Zezza, Thelma Miller and Dorothy Witt. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Keck-Coleman Chapel (1500 Waterford Pkwy, St Johns, MI 48879). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 26th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the McGeehan Funeral Home, Keck-Coleman Chapel (1500 Waterford Pkwy, St Johns, MI 48879).
