It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Orpha M. Lance of Saint Johns, Michigan, born in Petoskey, Michigan, who passed away on April 6, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, James Griffin and Neva Griffin; her husband Leroy "Jim" Lance; and her former life partners, Peter Vanderlin and Alvin Johnson.

She is survived by : her children, Peter Vanderlin (Karen), Shirley Betts (John) and Mykul Johnson. She is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
