He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, James and Betty Sheldon; his wife Dorothy Jean Ike; his children, Scott Sheldon, Melissa (Wally Emmer), Gina (Mike Noble), Greg (Julie Sheldon) and Rhonda; his grandchildren, Lorraine Sheldon, Hannah Emmer, Andrew, Aaron, Amber, Adam Sheldon, Nate, Amanda and Zachary Borema; his siblings, Joyce, Susan and Kenny; his son Daniel Marek, Jr.; and his brother Wayne. He was also cherished by several great-grandchildren.
