He was predeceased by: his parents, Kenneth Elmer and Bertha Lucille Whitford (Scott); his wife Alberta Belle Tompkins; his brothers, Gerry, Kenny and Keith Whitford; his brother-in-law Herb Poppe; his nephew Walter Whitford; and his pet Lucky.
He is survived by: his children, Robert, Roberta Whitford of Maple Rapids, MI, Cindy, Pete Dershem of St. Johns, MI, Kathy and Tim Vincent of St. Johns, MI; his grandchildren, Brandie (Jeremy), Katie, Tyler (Cassondra) and Leeann (RJ); his great grandchildren, Tucker, Brynn, Hendrixx and Lenoxx; his sister Ann Poppe; his sister-in-law Terry Whitford; Darlene and Billy (Mike). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
