He is survived by: his wife Barbara Acker; his sister Glenna Kenney; his children, Veronica Hosford (Andrew), Victoria Wiseman (Sean), Frank Acker (Jennifer) and Joel Acker; his grandchildren, Austin, Haylie, Albert, Henry, Kayla, Cyris, Mason and Lochlan; his great grandchild Wren; and his pets, Harley and Max.

In lieu of flowers, the family ask that memorial contributions be made to support cardiac care or diabetes research in Ron's memory.
