She was predeceased by: her parents, John Sr. Froehlich and Eleanor Froehlich (Pudell); her husband Wayne Merritt; and her brother-in-law Chester Hahn. She is survived by: her sons, Joel Merritt of Commerce Twp and John Merritt (Betty) of Rochester Hills, MI; her grandson Paul Merritt of Peoria, IL; and her siblings, Jeanne Hahn of Sodus, MI and John Froehlich Jr. (Joyce) of Niles, MI. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Grace Lutheran Church or Michigan Lutheran High School.
