He is survived by: his wife Sharon Schmidt; his children, Suzanne Holmes (Craig) of South Bend and Jeffrey Smith (Lisa) of Green Bay, Wisconsin; and his grandchildren, Jacob Holmes (Cassi), Rachel Moore (Chase), Makenna Smith, Katie Smith and Libby Smith (Linda Doetsch).
