He is survived by: his wife Paula Schroeder; his children, Mark Schroeder (Nancy) and Teri Harris (Craig); his grandchildren, Alexander Schroeder (Michal Hebert), Adam Schroeder (Kimberly Strigle), Eric Schroeder (Lauren Martelli), Abby Harris, Amelia Harris, Lyvia Butzow (Joel) and Allie Roumazeilles (Fabien); his great grandchildren, Orion, Artemis, Gabriel Roumazeilles and Sebastian Butzow; his sister Margaret Froehlich (David); and his nieces and nephews, Kevin Case (Brenda), David Froehlich (Tracy), Lisa Gillette (Kevin) and Tammy Wolske (Greg).
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 13th 2026 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Starks and Menchinger Chapel (2650 Niles Rd, St Joseph, MI 49085). A celebration of life was held on Monday, September 14th 2026 at 10:30 AM at the St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church (713 Naomi Road, Sodus, Michigan 49126).
