He was predeceased by: his parents, Clair V. Patterson and Vivian E. Patterson (Swank); his children, Michael Scott, Karen Sue and Kevin O'Neill (Eirinn); and his brother Lyle Dennis Patterson.
He is survived by: his fiancée Elizabeth Myers; his grandchildren, Michael, Thomas Murton, Theresa Shupe and Ryan Patterson; and his siblings, Fred Patterson (Carmen) of Riverdale, Sharon Smith (Richard) of Holland, MI and Eileen Schaeffer (Gary) of Farwell. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Michael's business organization memberships included the Credit Research Foundation, National Association of Credit Managers, NACM Fraud Prevention Group, and Central Michigan Petroleum Jobbers Association.
