He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Bachan and Agnes Frances Bachan (Bednarik); his wife Katherine Mary Hall; his son Michael Mercado; and his grandson RJ Anderson.
He is survived by: his children, Linda Kilbourne (Clifford), Carmen Mercado, Mark Mercado, Vicki Kirby (Bill) and Suzanne Moreno (Mark). He is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.
