He was predeceased by: his parents, Bruce Alan and Alma Emma Mackie (Sturm). He is survived by: his wife Carol Mackie (Meyer); his children, Jeff Mackie (Carol), Lisa Mackie (Don Webster), Kari Kolb (Stuart), Kevin Kolb (Galina), Kristin Rathje (John) and Keith Kolb (Heidi); his grandchildren, Hillary Kolb, Maria Kolb, John Rathje (Erin), Anna Rathje Guilamo (Melvin), Stephen Rathje, Sarah Rathje (Dakota Huey), Jessica Blohm (Tyler), Jacob Mackie (Savannah), Jordan Mackie, Rachel Kolb (Aaron Lewandowski) and Emily Kolb; his great grandchildren, Evelyn Rathje, Isla Rathje, Olivia Blohm, Charlotte Mackie and Daisy Mackie; and his sister Judy Herbolsheimer (Glen).
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church (7400 N Begole Rd, Alma, MI 48801).
