Barbara Ann Giezentaner Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Barbara Ann Giezentaner of Saline, Michigan, who passed away on June 15, 2025, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Carol Marie (Holmes) and Burdette Howlett Hawks Jr. On; and her sister Linda Holz (Ted). She is survived by: her husband Richard Giezentaner; her children, Laura Sommerschield (Stephen) of Colorado and Matthew Giezentaner (Susannah) of California; her grandchildren, Samuel, Peter, Rachel Sommerschield, Hope and Benjamin Giezentaner; and her siblings, Patricia Matheson (Scot), Sandra DeLeon (Arthur), Robert Hawks (Marta), Cynthia Nichol (Charles), Steven Hawks and Christina McBride (Paul). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Barbara's name may be made to St. Andrew Catholic Church and envelopes will be available at the service.
