She was predeceased by: her parents, George Genin and Kathryn Genin (O'Connor); her husband Bob (Bob); her in-laws, Max and Agnes Merkel (Huber); her siblings, Arlene Voelz (Robert), Leona Meyer (Larry), Raymond Genin (Marian) and Violet Genin; and her stepgrandson Andrew'Andy'Walton.
She is survived by: her children, William'Bill'Merkel of Menominee, MI, Jane Merkel of Northville, MI, Ann Walton (John) of Marshall, MI and Sue Merkel of Ann Arbor, MI; her grandchildren, Benjamin'Ben'Walton of Kalamazoo, MI and Alexander'Alex'Walton of Ridgeland, SC; her stepgranddaughter Emily Walton of Loveland, CO; and her siblings-in-law, Tessie Merkel of Marshfield, WI and Pat Walsh of Marshfield, WI. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews.
