He is survived by: his daughters, Dora Corby (Adam), Beth Brooks (Shone) and Becki McLaughlin (Ryan); his grandchildren, Owen Brooks, Emma Brooks, Olivia McLaughlin and Braeden McLaughlin; and his wife Karen Carlson. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In 2020, Ken endured a serious battle with COVID-19, spending 81 days in the hospital.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Dexter Church of Christ, Dexter Michigan or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
