He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Jennings McCoy and Minnie Louise McCoy (Lamar); his sister Nancy Carol Hughes; and his son Richard Michael "Mike" McCoy. He is survived by: his wife Dora; his daughter Marilyn Publiski (Paul) of Saline, MI; his daughter-in-law Helen McCoy of Kalkaska, MI.; his grandson Matthew McCoy (Tracy) of Ormond Beach, FL; his great grandchildren, Drake McCoy and Chase McCoy; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Nadia Garcia-Rivera and Diego Garcia-Rivera; and his great grandchildren, Kaitlyn Mourgas, Tyler Mourgas, William Publiski, Addison Publiski, Eliana Publiski, Dora McCoy and Cade McCoy.
