In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Richard leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though Richard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He is survived by: his wife Patricia A. Scherer; his children, Kevin P. Scherer (Kathleen Reilly), Michael G. Scherer, Christopher R. Scherer (Sonia Scherer) and Elizabeth M. Scherer (Matt Adler); his grandchildren, Sophia M. Scherer, Christopher J. Scherer and Oliver Adler; and his brother James Scherer (Kathy Baillargeon). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, other extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations in his name would be welcome to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church.
