Robert Elmer Peterson Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Elmer Peterson in Saline, Michigan, who passed away on April 19, 2025, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Peterson and Madeline Peterson (Deben); and his wife Kathleen Peterson. He is survived by: his children, Mark Peterson Ann (Susan) and Marcia Peterson Buckie (Steve); his grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah), Lindsay (Steve), Douglas Lauren (Morgan), Megan, Jacquelyn, Jared, Elizabeth and James; and his sister Colleen Nylund of Iron Mountain, MI. He is also survived by many in-laws and nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Robert's life to the DACTM (Detroit Area Council of Teachers of Mathematics) to be used for scholarships for future math educators.
