It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Russell M. Hieber of Saline, Michigan, who passed away on January 17, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Rolland Hieber and Caroline Hieber (Meyers); his wife Jean Ahrens; and his siblings, Jim Hieber, Ken Hieber and Marion Toma.

He is survived by: his children, Kristy Lerma of Saline and Terry Hieber of Tecumseh; his brothers, Leon Hieber and Ronald "Mick" Hieber; his grandson Tony Lerma of Saline; and his brother-in-law David Ahrens. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Emanuel United Church of Christ, Manchester or St. Joseph Mercy Hospital.
