He was predeceased by: his parents, Viola C. Kiessel (Homminga) and Robert J. Kiessel; his brother Alfred J. Kiessel; and his wife F. Joan Kiessel (Hart). He is survived by: his children, Margaret Morrow (Michael) of East Lansing, Robert Kiessel (Judith) of Plymouth, Laura Meyecic (Joseph) of White Lake, Martha Walts of Ypsilanti Twp and William D. Kiessel of Palmetto, FL..
