She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Heiss and Patricia Heiss (Funk); her siblings, Dennis and Beth; and her niece Julie.
She is survived by: her daughter Sara Ruiz; her grandchildren, Emily, Allie and Julia; and her siblings, Tom and Penny. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
