He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Cowley and Verceile Cowley (Hudie); his grandparents, Hazel "Ma" and Tom Hudie; his stepmother Fran Cowley; his sisters, Sharon Landsburg and Nancy Fritch; and his girlfriend's daughter Tracee Gough.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Karen Petteys; his children, Scott Cowley (Lori), Todd Cowley (Julianne) and Tricia Kosal (Jason); his grandchildren, Aryn Truesdell (Josh), Emily Cowley, Colton Cowley (Brookelyn), Brayden Cowley (Lauren), Kaimryn Cowley, Kyler Kosal and Trent Kosal; his great grandchildren, Mason, Noah Truesdell, Savannah Cowley and Liam Kosal; his brother Paul Cowley (Elaine); his girlfriend's children, Tony Morton (Graciela) and Tammi Johnson (Russ Winiarski); his grandchildren, Tony Morton Jr. Tori Morton (Tiana Fortushniak), Lillian Gough, Grady Gough, Sierra Dankenbring (Brett), Cheyenne Brown (Zachary) and Cherokee Johnson (Aaron VanHorn); and his great grandchildren, Juniper Morton, Acadious Morton, Atlas Dankenbring and Sienna Brown.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Marsh Funeral Chapel (396 S Sandusky Rd, Sandusky, MI 48471). A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorials may be made in his honor to United Hospice Service of Aspire or Sandusky First United Methodist Church.
