He is survived by: his wife Paula Paterson; his sons, Neil Hayes (Jennifer), Stephen Paterson (Heather), John Paterson (Aleksandra) and Clark Paterson (Meg); and his grandchildren, Will Hayes, Sarah Hayes, Charles Paterson, Frederick Paterson, Leonard Paterson, Agnes Paterson, Matthew Paterson, Elaine Paterson and Georgina Paterson.
