He was predeceased by: his parents, Basil Peters and Geneva Peters; his son James Compo; his sisters, Carol Laursen and Linda Harneck; and his brother-in-law Calvin.

He is survived by: his significant other Enola Compo; and his children, Art Brockitt, Troy Peters and Tammy Chappel (Jason).
