She was predeceased by : her father Schley Carpenter; her spouse Thomas Brown; her siblings, Helen Carpenter, Vernon Carpenter, Eugene Carpenter, Ronald Carpenter, Joan Grinnel and Jerry Carpenter; and her son-in-law Art Fredricks.

She is survived by : her children, Ellen Nicholas (Phil), David Brown (Judy), Nancy Tezak (Jim) and Rebekah Alexander (Michael); her grandchildren, Jason (Monica), Jessica (Dave), Rob (Karen), Tom, Amanda (Mike), Nicole (Shawn), Nykki (Nathan), Jacob (Katie), Rachel (Kyle), Julia, Hannah and Joel; her great grandchildren, Tori, Tom, Clare, Lincoln, Ayla, Elijah, Cora, Arwen, Natalie and Miles; her sister Nancy Dillon; and her sister-in-law Helen Carpenter. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
