He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Newman and Lillie Newman (Zilska); and his brother Frederick Newman. He is survived by: his wife Linda Emery; his stepdaughter Mickie May; his granddaughter Brianna Johnson; his great grandchild Kingston Johnson; his sister Eva Roberts (John); his nieces, Anita Eberhart and Jamie Bussell; and his nephew Mike Lamont.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wilson Miller Funeral Home (4210 N Saginaw Rd, Midland, MI 48640). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 3rd 2026 at the Jerome TWP Cemetery (67 W Center St, Sanford, MI 48657).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be offered to Woodland Hospice House, an organization of one's choice, or to the family.
