He was predeceased by: his parents, Bert and Opal Kinnear, Sr. (McKinnon); and his brothers, Wayne Richard Kinnear and Theodore Charles Kinnear. He is survived by: his mother-in-law Eunice Ruth Brown; his wife Eunice Kinnear; his children, Bert Kinnear III of Sault Ste, Rodney Kinnear (Shannon) of Sault Ste, Kenneth Kinnear (Marianne) of Sault Ste, Terri East (Darryl) of Sault Ste and Daniel Kinnear of Sault Ste; his grandchildren, Louie, Rodney II (Heather), Rachael (Chad), Kamie (Peter), Kourtney, Nicholas (Jessica), Danielle, Jenna (Roger), Krysta, Michael, Addison, Daniel, Dillon and Genevieve; his great grandchildren, Bauer, Easton, Kadence, Adelle, Remington, Elijah, Samuel and Payton; his siblings-in-law, Renate Kinnear, Karen Brown, Douglas Brown and Donald Brown; his nephews, Raymond Brown and Kevin Kinnear; and his great-nephew Raymond Brown. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to Faith Lutheran Church.
