As Charles Edward departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Charles Edward may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Charles Edward leaves behind.

He was predeceased by : his siblings, Gert Gilroy and Russell "Junior" Brown. He is survived by : his wife Cathy McLean of Rudyard; his children, Tony Brown (Alex Oliveira) of Toronto and Aimee Freeman (Mike) of West Bloomfield; and his grandchildren, Charlie, Maddy and Libby.

The family chose to celebrate his life with an event fitting of his character and contributions to the community.
