He was predeceased by: his parents, John Cottelit and Irene Cottelit; his wife Donna; his brothers, Theodore and James; and his son-in-law Paul Woodruff.
He is survived by: his sister Arlene Rogers (George) of Brimley; his daughters, Joanne Umbrasas (Helmut) and Colleen Woodruff of Pickford; and his grandchildren, Amanda Fairchild (Michael) of Drummond Island, Christopher Cottelit of Dafter and Jessica Forbes. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
