He was predeceased by: his parents, John McClain and Mary McClain (Duncan); and his children, Marcus Bailey and Cindy Shaw. He is survived by: his daughter Melinda Boone; his sister Leah Davis; his niece Linda; his grandchildren, Rebacca Bailey and Kevin White; and his great grandchildren, Morgan Shelton and Hannah Bailey. He is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and friends.
