He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Nelson and Celene Nelson (Mattson). He is survived by: his daughter Macy Nelson of Michigan; his siblings, Eric Nelson (Bobbi) of California, Darrel Nelson of Michigan, Esther Bertram (John) of Michigan and Michael Ferguson of Michigan; his stepmother Joanne Nelson of Michigan; his nephews, Justin Bertram (Ashley) and Aaron Bertram; and his niece Melanie Murtha (Kris).
