Richard Lee Scheffers Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Lee Scheffers (Sault Sainte Marie, Michigan), born in Grand Haven, Michigan, who passed away on February 17, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Simon Scheffers and Chrystal Scheffers (Rogers); his son Perry Scheffers; and his parents-in-law, Michael, Jeanne Fortino and George Grimes.
He is survived by: his wife Gaye Grimes of Detour; his children, Susan Schultz (Matthew) of DeTour and James Scheffers (Vickie) of Sage, Arkansas; his grandchildren, Riley Schultz, Amilia Scheffers and Dakota Scheffers; and his sisters, Nancy Allen of Grand Rapids and Donna Pope of Grand Rapids.
