She was predeceased by: her mother Barbara Scales; and her siblings, Ruby, Myrtle, Barbara, Melvin and Donald.

She is survived by: her husband Charles Ennis Steffens (Ennis); her children, Jan Rose (late Joseph), Carol Steffens, Charles Steffens Jr. (Anita) of Brimley and David Steffens (Marian) of Kalamazoo; her grandchildren, Christopher Rose (Cynthia), Joshua Rose (Sarah), Emily Seifferlein (Brian), Kelly AuBuchon (John), Andrew Steffens (Melissa), Graham Steffens and Madison Steffens; and her sister Hazel Stephenson.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in her name to the First United Presbyterian Church or to a Sault Ste Marie Charity of individual choice.
