Jeffrey D. Wolfe Obituary

A celebration of Jeff's life will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025 (Opening Day Eve), at the Local 357 Union Hall, located at 11847 Shaver Road, Schoolcraft, MI 49087. Friends and family are invited to gather from 3:00–6:00 p.m., with a service beginning at 4:00 p.m.

Jeffrey "Jpaw" Wolfe passed away on October 31, 2025 at age 64. Born and raised in Kalamazoo, Michigan, Jeff was a graduate of Portage Central High School, class of 1979. After high school, Jeff went on to earn his Journeyman's license and became a dedicated member of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 357, where he worked hard and built lifelong friendships throughout his career.

Jeff loved the outdoors and spending time at his cabin in Kaleva, Michigan. Whether he was snowmobiling, fishing, hunting, or taking his car to local car shows, he always found happiness in simple pleasures and good company. Some of his fondest memories were made during golf cart rides with his wife, grandkids, and his "friend," Brodie. Jeff also gave back to his community as a Hospice volunteer with his old lab, Lucy. Above all, Jeff's greatest joy in life was his family. He loved them deeply, especially his wife, daughter, son-in-law and grandbabies, who brought endless laughter and light into his days. His love, humor, and steady presence will be forever missed but never forgotten. Jeff was preceded in death by his father, Donavon Wolfe; mother, Betty Wolfe; and sister, Judy Stevens. He is survived by his loving wife, Teresa "Sly" Wolfe; his daughter, Lauren "Dobey" Sylvester; son-in-law, Mike "Mikey" Sylvester; cherished grandchildren, Fitz and Margo; niece, Jennifer (Alan) Smith; and nephew, Jason Wolfe.
