Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Sophia Gano of Schoolcraft, Michigan, born in Salyersville, Kentucky, who passed away at the age of 92, on May 10, 2024. She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Jack and Hazel Marie Risner (Back); her husband James Claude Gano; and her brothers, Orville and Ernest Risner.
She is survived by: her children, Connie Caporossi (Marty) and Dr. Robert Gano (Meredith); her grandchildren, Michael Wolthuis, Cris Nichols (John), Mario Caporossi (Jesse) and Carly Caporossi; her great grandchildren, Jake (Melissa), Sam, Molly, Ayden, Mylee, Mason, Gianna, Emmett, Owen and Kallie; her great great grandchild Henry; and her sister-in-law Geraldine Risner.
