She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Josef Geist and Theresia Geist (Riedl); her husband Egon; her granddaughter Cheryl Marie Heib; her children, Dagmar Heib (Ben Behrman) and Andrew Heib (Nannette); her grandchildren, Anthony Heib (Kaisa), Erika Fortman (Scott), Rachel Finch (Jonny) and Elena Brown (Erik); her great grandchildren, Luca, Elias, Devin, Emilia and Clara Heib; her grandchildren, Hannah, James Fortman, Judah, Ruth, Josie and Ada Finch; her sister Erika; and her brothers-in-law, Nick DeVries and Hermann Heib. She was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Shriner's Children's or the Kalamazoo Gospel Mission.
