With profound sadness, we say goodbye to David Alyn Vander Bie of Scotts, Michigan, born in Holland, Michigan, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. David left this world on October 3, 2025 at the age of 78, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Harold Bie and Harriet Vander Bie; his wife Vivian Locke; his children, Monica French (Greg) and Steven Vander Bie (Crystal); his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Matthew, Luke, Willow, Dalton and Fenna; his stepchildren, A. J. Locke (Sofia) and Kevin Locke (Lauren); his stepgrandchild Evelynn; and his cousins, Jack Gebben and Marilyn Cranmer. He was also cherished by his family and numerous nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes Food Bank.
