Emily R. Smith Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Emily R. Smith of Sebewaing, Michigan, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 7, 2025 at the age of 99. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Emily R. Smith to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter Reige and Mary Reige (Hartman); her husband Louis Allen Smith; her daughter-in-law Deborah Smith; and her siblings, Lydia Dortman, David Reige, Hannah Sauers, Pete Reige, Henry Reige, Willy Reige and Emma Schneider.
She is survived by: her sons, Arthur Smith (Cindy) of Saginaw, Timothy Smith of Sebewaing and Peter Smith (Jodi) of Sebewaing; and her grandchildren, Amy Sturm, Sarah Brunet, Jessica Parrish (Brett), Joshua Smith, Kathleen Wood (Brandon), Andrew Smith (Erin Brandt), Annette Kata, Louis Smith and Caleb Smith (Isabella). She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (800 E Bay St, Sebewaing, MI 48759). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 11th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial donations may be given to Christ the King Lutheran School or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
