He is survived by: his children, Ward Carter of Sebewaing and Nancy VanNortwick (Kim) of Ludington; his grandchildren, Sierra Manial, Spencer, Lance, Jordyn, Ayden Carter, Joe and Matt VanNortwick (Alicia); and his siblings, Mary Ann Maynard (Ron), Buster Carter, Rose McMillian, Jack, Robert, Herbert, Jr., John, David, Bill, Benny, Betty and Larry. He is also survived by 2 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
