We are sad to announce that on December 11, 2025, at the age of 83, Carol Marguerite Kolakowski (Shelby Township, Michigan), born in Detroit, Michigan passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Richard; her children, Lynn Zielinski, Kim Scesny and Rick Kolakowski (Dawn); and her brother Ronald Thorne.
She is survived by: her children, Laurie Rubbelke, Randy Babel, Raymond Babel, Michelle O'Day (late John), Melissa Lysic (Aaron), Wade Kolakowski (Theresa) and Gary Kolakowski (Denise); and her sister Arleen Hoyko (late Joe).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home (49150 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). The lying in state will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Therese of Lisieux Catholic Church (48115 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 19th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
