Donald leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. Donald’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Donald will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Bonnie; his sons, David Burns (Kathy) and Rob Burns (Jennifer); his great grandchild Grayson; and his siblings, Dennis Burns (Darleen) and Sherry Burns.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 30th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Wasik Funeral Home (49150 Schoenherr Rd, Shelby Twp, MI 48315). The lying in state will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Shelby Bible Church (47905 Hayes Rd, Shelby Township, MI 48315-4957). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
