He was predeceased by: his siblings, Sandy Crouchman and Larry Tarr. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his children, Gary A. Tarr Jr. (Tyra), Kathleen Whisnant (Mark) and Paul Tarr (Bernadette); his grandchildren, Dayton, Miranda, Hunter and Annicka; his brother John "Jack" Tarr (Theresa); and his pets, Blue, Zazu, Tommy Boy, Romeo and Rowdy.

Donations are welcome to the National Rifle Association or the Michigan United Conservation Club.
